Umm so, this is definitely one to check off on my long list of things to happen in my life...

I got hit by a freaking car.

Yes, I was riding my bicycle after having gotten off the train from Kyoto on Monday (today is Wednesday night here) and I was crossing the street at the proper crosswalk and I had the green (go) signal and was apparently hit.

The crazy part is I don't remember anything!!! I woke up this morning to one of the student... er... advisors (I guess I can call her that), telling me I needed to go to the hospital and I vaguely recalled the sensation of pain and the knowledge of having been at a hospital so I was telling her "no, I don't want to go again," and she was trying to force me out of bed.

It honestly has all seemed like one big dream. I seriously must have slept the entire day yesterday along with Monday night and I don't remember the crash or being at the hospital, but my body is proof enough of my accident. I am fine, I have one big bruise/cut on my head and the rest just aches... a lot!

I went to the police station today where I was asked how I would like the minor who was driving to be punished... haha... I honestly told them to go easy on whoever hit me. I was also completely offended when the ugly old white guy who runs part of our school was talking about me in Japanese (bad things... like how rude I was, etc...) on the trip there as if I couldn't understand his craptastic use of the language.

Tomorrow I have my elective class at the local university and have a feeling I might end up having to take a mildly expensive taxi there and back cause I am not in the shape to ride my bike tomorrow.

Honestly, I really don't remember being hit by a car, the only reason I know is because every single other person in this damned school knows and has been asking me about it because I guess this is the first day I've been out of bed since it happened. LOL! Anyways... yeah... at least the car didn't back over me multiple times and no bird swooped down and grabbed my hand which was then dropped amongst a cemetary... at least... I hope that didn't happen.

In conclusion, I am fine, but sore. I had the green signal and if I was in America and a bastard I would be rich off my ass from sueing.

Tokyo Trip

Hey guys, I know it's been a while!! I just got your email Ryan! So, I decided to copy this note I made on facebook and post it here. I went to Tokyo from Wednesday until Sunday of last week. So, here you go! Tell me some of your stories too!!

Wednesday was a little boring, but I took the Shinkansen, found a cheap, but kind of crappy hotel in Shinjuku and did a little site seeing.

On Thursday I met a cool friend and we hung out basically the whole day. We had a wonderful lunch at a little cafe in Shibuya and had thai food for dinner near Harajuku. I bought a sweet shirt, so I was pretty happy. That night I went out in Shinjuku alone, but I made a lot of friends at the club. This is really random, but I've realized now that a lot of people really think I am Japanese or half. The last time I was in Japan it happened occassionally and once or twice in America, but not a big deal. I really don't get it though. I am skinny and a little stylish, but I am as pale as can be with bright blonde hair >.< Haha! Anyways, no, I'm not Japanese.

Friday I met a really really really old friend from high school when I hosted an exchange student for a month. It was great seeing her and we had a lot of fun together. We had a very traditional Japanese lunch and did some shopping around Shibuya, we took a small break and went to karaoke, I was so surprised cause the first song she picked was Nakashima Mika's "Yuki no Hana," bitch stole my song yo! LOL! Anyways, after we went to the Korean town near the Shinjuku/Shinokubu area and had everything I had been missing so much from America like Kimchi chi ke, Chi chi mi (Hae mul pae jong?), Gim bap, dot pot gi (sp?), and some amazing side dishes. The kimchi chi ke was the best I've ever had in my life. I really liked that restaurant. I went out again for the night and met some new people.

Saturday I was really tired and rested a lot I had plans to meet some friends, but it didn't work out... so unfortunately it was a little boring, but it was good because I needed some rest. I went to a fruit market and bought a lot of fruit and brought it back to my hotel room and took a nap during the day. It was kind of lame, but I was super tired and I had been sick with a cold the whole trip. That night I went out again and found an all you can drink bar, which is just as it sounds, meaning I could drink all I wanted until a certain time. So... needless to say, I was pretty drunk. It was only about $10 too. Once my time expired, after about 6 or 7 drinks, I went to the club and this guy came up and someone recognized me from Mixi (Mixi is basically the Japanese Myspace)!! I was really surprised...

Sunday I went back to Harajuku and Shibuya because I decided to get some boots there and was walking on the street in Harajuku and someone asked me if they could take my picture for a magazine again... I guess the magazine is called "Kera," (I think) I had never heard of it and the person who asked me was dressed up like a lolita, so it might be kind of a crazy magazine o.O

Now.... here's where my weekend sucked... I got all my stuff and had to return to Shiga-ken, so I got on the Shinkansen and without thinking I got on the wrong one. It was okay, because it was still going in the right direction, but it only made stops at Nagoya, Kyoto, and Shin-Osaka, so I decided I would get off in Nagoya... only the train was SUPER crowded. I can't even describe it because I had never been in the situation until then. Sure, I have been on crowded regular or express trains and subways, but never a Shinkansen. The Shinkansen was even worse because almost everyone had huge ass lugage cause they were traveling a long distance. Well, basically I had to stand the whole way from Tokyo to Nagoya, which was about 1 hour and a half or more... I tried not concentrating on the time and occassionally people would try to squeeze by and force me to move and blah blah blah... well, I put my bags up and with my bags I put my cell phone too, so when we got to Nagoya, I grabbed my bags and left the train and was gonna call a friend, so I looked for my cell phone, but it was missing!!! I knew for sure it must have been on the train still, so I ran back on, but surprisingly, it was even more crowded and I dropped my bags and tried to squeeze through to where I was and look for my phone, but I couldn't see it anywhere, and before I had a chance to get off the doors closed, so I was fucking forced to go to Kyoto and stand the whole was there too, which was about another hour and half or so...!!!
So, since I was already on the train I tried to look for my phone more, but I couldn't find it anywhere, so I decided to fuck it and force my way through about 3 cars of fully packed people and make it to the first class section where I asked an attendant if she could help me find my phone, but she directed me to the lost and found.
Now, I had seriously only been off the train in Nagoya for about 2 minutes before I realized my phone was gone and I got back on the train, but somehow they had my phone even though the car I lost it in was jam packed. It seriously made no sense to me, but I was relieved!
So, I made it to Kyoto, got back on another jam packed Shinkansen and went back to Shiga. So, now I'm home ^^

ザーザー降り

Almost every single chapter of any Japanese textbook, I tend to concentrate on more useful vocabulary. While it might seem interesting at the time, things like space alien, social education, the executive manager of technology, etc... can only get so much use in daily, hell... in monthly conversation. If the word is needed, I can always look it up. ^^ So, basically what I'm saying is, I work harder to remember important words.

For today's class, it was necessary to know the word I put as this entry's title: Zaazaaburi, which means... It's raining cats and dogs. I can already communicate well enough that it's raining really hard without using a dumb set phrase, so I kind of put it in the back of my mind, but...

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!! It is fucking raining cats and dogs!! Zaazaaburi for sure!

It has been raining everyday since my last entry. At least a little bit, but usually much more... zaazaaburi more. Yeah, I got hit by it out on my bike like... 3 or 4 times now, and the weekend is coming and I hope this shit goes away by then... seriously.

So, like I said before, the students at my school are overrall better than last time, but my class seriously blows. There is one okay guy, but he doesn't talk much at all. There are two girls that stay in their room everyday after class and no one sees them until class the next day. No one knows who they even are except the people in my class, cause they are that exclusive.

I have met cool people, but unfortunately none of the fun people ever seem to want to do anything besides drink. So, I've been to the bar a few times with them, not every night like they do, but a few times is okay. I just want to get out more, like last time I tried all this really unique, but surprisingly (at the time) delicious food, I visited different cities, temples, went to karaoke quite often, shopped, etc... No one ever seems to want to do anything though, seriously!

This past Saturday people talked me into going to Kyoto with them. Now, I already know my way around there, but I didn't really want to be put into the leader role, but at the same time, I didn't want us to go someplace retarded... so I wasn't sure about this trip. It turned out, about 15 people came and we met someone's two friends there. It was extremely ridiculous trying to haul this many people around. I wanted to just ditch them, but I didn't want to leave the people I am closer to. So, we ended up getting some food first thing... in WONDERFUL BIG CITY KYOTO with Sushi, revolving sushi restaurants, curry, Indian food, Vietnamese food, Korean, Thai, Ramen, Soba, Tonkatsu, etc..........!!!! We had... hamburgers. I...was...not...happy!
So, that and the fact that one of the friends that met us up there was this really hot Japanese slutty girl wearing like a mini skirt and crap and all the guys were hitting on her like crazy... it was really bad. You had to see it. Anyways, because of those two things, I seperated and a few people followed me. Long story short, cause nothing happened from this point on really: I slammed my right hand into a wall on my bike earlier that day and it was like on fire in pain and I could barely move it... so I went back to our school early. Anyways, my hand is alright. It still really hurts and I constantly have to write kanji like 50 times a piece, so it's not really helping the situation, but it is slowly getting better.

Basically, I'm just saying the people are boring and the weekend sucked unfortunately.

There have been some good things. I'm in fucking Japan. LOL! Also, I met one of my old friends near me and since she isn't too far, we are planning to hang out like at least once a week and she is definitely not boring.

On a different note, I've taken so many pictures, but when I try to upload them to the computer I get an error message. Everything on the computers are in Japanese, so the error message is as well, and unfortunately because of Kanji, reading technical terms is really hard without the proper vocabulary training. So, I just asked some kid, cause a lot of guys are definitely into computers here and one suggested it was due to low bandwidth, but I'm not really sure what that means >.<

Ohhh, I have one last quick story... I went out to lunch by myself today cause, like I was saying no kids are doing here... I wanted to explore. So, I found this random place called like Sky Cafe and I went in. It had a really really hippie, trendy, cool atmosphere, and the waiter that came over had like dreads and was dressed funky, but cool... so it made me happy. Instead of like asking me what I wanted he was like `Hi!` in really bad English and asked me if I could speak Japanese and was asking me what my name was, and where I was from and stuff. He was being really friendly, so it made me happy. Then, I like asked him what was good cause, (one really annoying thing) at some smaller restaurants, the waiter will silently hover over you while you look at the menu until you decide, so it's a bit awkward for me cause I take a while. Anyways, I got some omelette rice he suggested and I kind of remembered having something similar before and liking it. Ohhh.... quick culture note again, in Japan, there are like drink bars at a lot of restaurants where you can get unlimited things like coffee, tea, pop, etc... but you have to pay a little extra and you help yourself to it. So, I got that as well, cause I love having unlimited drinks when drinks are usually so tiny and I drink like wayyyy too much! So, I went up there and fucking broke a glass. I felt so retarded and the waiter had been so nice, so I quickly tried to like clean it up and I was saying sorry and everyone was staring at me. LOL! So, the same guy comes over and he's telling me it's okay and not to worry about it and then he's like, `Is your hand okay?` and I see like all this blood coming from it. Like my whole left hand had so much blood, it was crazy. I was so surprised, cause I didn't even realize I had been cut when it broke and I looked where all the blood was coming from and it was just this little tiny cut, but so much blood. I went back to my table (alone), in Japan it's totally common to eat alone, but as a foreigner, with blonde hair, who just broke a fucking glass, and now has blood dripping off his hand... I was accumulating a lot of stares. LOL! There are like wet towelettes on the table, I think it took around 4 before the bleeding stopped and each was like covered in blood. I felt SO dumb, but the cut was really SO tiny and didn't even hurt.

Anyways, so... hopefully I can upload some pictures at one point before my camera is full. This sounded like a rant message, but really, Japan is amazing and I can never be too upset at anything here. I miss you guys though!! Tell me stories too!

Back in Japan

Yep, I flew into Tokyo and arrived on the 26th in Narita airport. It was a horrid flight and for some unknown reason, except that the airport sucks, they decided it wisest to send me to Washington D.C. (the opposite way) from Detroit first and then take a straight 14 hour flight to Japan.

On the way there I was seated near a window with a 5-year-old Japanese girl next to me that was apparently traveling alone and made me feel horribly old and stupid. >.<

In Tokyo I met my friend in a small town about 45 minutes train ride from Shinjuku called Kunitachi. I stayed at his place from Sunday until Friday during which time I went out and shopped at Harajuku, Shinjuku, Roppongi, Kichijoji, and Shibuya. In Harajuku I was asked to be in another magazine called Smart, and it made me feel pretty good, but like I always say... they just really like blonde haired white guys that are tall, with decent fashion sense.

Nothing too exciting happened in Tokyo, overrall it was a great time, just nothing that note-worthy to mention. Basically, lots of shopping, along with the best Korean and Vietnamese food I've had in my life.

I was actually a little anxious to leave Tokyo. I kept seeing all these foreigners and I dunno why, but random foreigners in Japan almost always give me these devil glares >.< I feel so awkward. Seriously.

So, on Friday I took the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Osaka. It is a bit expensive to take the bullet train, but since it was a one way ride, it was much cheaper.

When I got to Osaka I needed to find a hotel I could stay at for one night until I left for Hikone, which is where my school is located the next day. It took a little bit, but I found a pretty cheap and nice hotel, so I unpacked my stuff, relaxed in the FREE (keyword) air conditioning, and then went out to explore my favorite city in Japan. So, I went to Amemura again, which is slang for American town in Osaka, but really the only American thing is a McDonald's (which is everywhere anyways) and this huge and kind of frigtening clown head colored red, white, and blue near the main entrance street. Again, nothing too exciting happened. In fact, nothing too exciting has happened YET, but... I am sure it won't take too much longer haha! I just enjoyed myself, shopping, eating, etc... Ohhh.... Then my feet started to really bother me. I almost forgot about this >.< I saw this foot massage place and it was pretty cheap, like $15 for half an hour and my feet were honestly really hurting, I pulled off my socks and saw this big bruises and like... a boil or something on my toe. Honestly, it was nasty. I think I just plain spent too much time walking in Tokyo and my body wasn't used to it and it finally caught up with me. So, anyways, I go to this place and it is really relaxing zen music and like lights all dimmed down and a little old Japanese lady gave me some cold green tea, then she started the massage and was gently washing my feet and stuff and put warm washclothes on them, then like SUDDENLY she GRINDED her knuckles into the sole of my foot, and it hurt SOOOOO much!!! I like jerked my foot away at first, and she asked if it was okay, and I said it hurt a little bit and she told me she would make it softer, but she didn't!!! The whole massage hurt like freaking hell. After the first painful thing started, the rest just kept getting worse, she was seriously grinding her fist and stuff into all these pressure points. I wanted to cry. o.O I was SO surprised. I somehow made it through the experience, but I dunno how.... LOL!

After that I went to the Umeda district of Osaka and went to a club where there were like 4 people. LOL! Everyone was really nice though and they were all just sitting at the bar and talking with me and stuff, so I ended up staying there pretty late.

The next day I came to Hikone and arrived at the school, where I am writing from now. I met some cool and nice people. There are a lot less annoying Japanese students this time, I think... so I was pretty happy until.... I took my placement test. So, the test was pretty hard, but I was telling myself I would be statisified with any level of Japanese they put me in because review is always good, so I waited for the results and somehow I made it into the highest level course, but like ALL the cool people I had met are in like first year. So, I checked the names of the other 8 people in my class (it's the smallest class) and I recognized one name of some guy I don't like. He has proven to be one of those annoying know-it-all types, that corrects everything someone says or does and some cool people and I ate with him and he was bitching at like 3 people for using chopsticks the wrong way... like dude... get a life... seriously. Also, like... you kind of have to see it, but whenever ANYONE asks a question, even if he is like having a conversation with someone else (which he probably is, cause he never shuts the hell up), he like tries to answer the question SO fast and he gets kind of jumbled cause he answers seriously so fast, that it doesn't even come out right. LOL! I have corrected like 3 of his answers already... I'm not one for making myself seem like a smartass, because I'm not that smart >.< lol, but when I see someone else doing it, I love being the one to correct them. You know?!? Haha!

So, anyways, I was saying one guy sucks, that leaves 7... then I met these other two guys today and both are the biggest dorks (not the good kind of dorks, heh) I've met and one kind of seems like a know-it-all as well >.<

So, then there were 5... which brings me to a story.... during the placement test, the teachers introduced themselves in Japanese and this one student out of the 40 kids there, found it necessary to translate what they said into English after they said it. The teachers did ask if anyone wanted to, but it was still not really necessary IMHO. Then, I thought that was it from him, which wouldn't be so bad, but that must have like energized him or something, cause he suddenly asked like the most ridiculous question. The instructor was explaining what book the level 1 students would use and said they would practice a few kanji as well. FYI, what the teachers said in Japanese wasn't hard, but the guy who translated it was obviously NOT a 1st year student, and he raises his hand and asks [what book will the kanji come from?] when the instructor was holding one and only one book, raised high, directly in front of him to show all the kids in the room.... Ummm... yeah... but that's not all... so the instructor starts going through the rules and the he says no gum/food/drink/hats in the classroom. Now, I'd say about 15 out of the 40 students obviously had drinks or hats with them already and did nothing about it (not even take off hats), because it was obvious the teacher was saying from now on... but this annoying student, who was sitting in the front room, stood up and loudly was like [ohhh!!!] and took gum out of his mouth and, from the front row, walked all the way to the back of the room and threw it out, then came and sat back down while the teachers were right there. Even the teacher was like [I meant... in the classrooms]!

So, that leaves 4 possibly okay students in my class and I heard two of them, these two girls, were big anime otaku... so yeah...

There is just one last story I want to leave you all with...

So, I missed my last train from Osaka bound for Hikone, cause I actually went there on my birthday, after I had already came from Osaka to Hikone, but since it was my birthday, I went out with an old friend and we went to look around and stuff. Well, yeah, the whole last train thing in Japan really does suck, and I missed it, but I was able to take a train to Yasu, a town close to Hikone and then take a really expensive taxi to Hikone, but the placement test was in the morning and it was necessary I was back no matter what lol!

In the taxi, the driver kept like kind of slapping his cheeks, and suddenly turned the radio on pretty loud... well, it was like 1:30 am and I was thinking he was doing it cause he was getting tired, you know? I've done that before too, so like... suddenly he just barely stopped and kind of jerked himself upright when a light changed red and he came pretty close to hitting this truck in front of us and after that I couldn't take my eyes off the road, but I kept noticing he was like jerking his head up, like he was falling asleep and then catching himself and staying awake. You know what I mean? So, I was honestly a little worried, he even started having trouble keeping his taxi straight. So, again a red light came and he was driving fast, but I noticed more than once he would just barely stop, so I didn't really think too much of it, but then I swear he was like almost about to hit the same truck in front of us at full speed and I like called out to the driver and suddenly he SLAMMED on the brakes and turned the taxi and we just barely missed hitting it. I was so scared. At that time we were pretty close to Hikone though, and I think he realized he should keep himself awake cause he randomly started asking me questions like where I was from, etc.. etc.. until we reached the destination and it did seem to keep him awake.

Well, that's all I have to say, I've wrote so much! Buh bai!!

My Sister Pretty Much Rocks

So, yesterday I went with Sarah shopping at Somerset mall for some retail theraphy and to buy Sunshine a b-day present.

Well, we were there really late and after we got dinner and it was like 10:30 pm... so... we decided to go to a club not too far from where we were called Backstreet. I called my sister for directions and she said she would come to the club too.

So... around like 11:30 my sister showed up at the club with her friend Andre. We were having a blast. Well, my sister wanted a drink so we all went to the bar and this guy comes up that I HATE, so I tell everyone how much he sucks blah blah blah and we go sit down. Then, the guy walks past us and my sister's like "watch this," and she gets up and fucking THROWS HER DRINK ON HIM!!! HAHAHHAHA!!! Well... she did that as he was walking with his back and when he turned back around my sister was already sitting down, but he saw us laughing and must have just assumed it was me cause he came over to me and said something like "score one for you," (wtf?).

Now, that happened at like midnight, then... fast forward through our fun to like 1:55 am (5 MINUTES BEFORE THE CLUB CLOSED). My sister had gone to us the bathroom, so it was just Sarah, Andre, and I sitting down and I noticed the guy I hate like staring at me, pointing, and talking to someone. Then, like a second later a security guard came over and said "you have to leave the club now. You threw your drink on someone." Haha!! So, Sarah and I tried to stall for time waiting for my sister to come out of the bathroom, but Andre was dumb and didn't realize what we were doing and said that he would tell my sister what happened. So we were escorted out of the club 5 minutes before it closed.

Moral of the story... if you ever get a drink thrown on you in club, tell the security guards when it happens, not 5 minutes before the club closes. I love my sister. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fucking worth it!

Guess which one of these statements is not true...

1. I am not a virgin anymore... in any sense of the word for gay men.
2. I put big black streaks in my naturally blonde hair recently.
3. I once tried to hook up with a guy's friend when I was making out with the guy.
4. I recently went to a party that super boring, so I walked outside telling everyone I was "going to smoke" (even though I don't smoke) and went home then blocked the people on my aim.
5. I use my parents for money and as soon as I graduate and get a job, I will excommunicate myself from them and almost all of the rest of my family.
6. I talk shit about people in Japanese right in front of their faces when I am with a friend who also understands the language.
7. I have been asked to be a supposed straight guy's "jack off buddy."
8. I made out with a straight friend that I hadn't seen in a long time because he was super drunk.
9. I am glad that my friends changed this semester.
10. I think I am an alcoholic now.

ONE of these IS NOT true. If you get it right, then I'll let ya know.

I freaking hate the bitchy ass gay guy they picked. I can't even remember his name, but he is such a bastard... especially to Svetlana. I don't really like her a lot either, but she hasn't really done anything that warrents the abuse he gives her. I just watched like 3 episodes in a row incase you were curious as to why I thought of this. Haha!

I have a 4 page mid term paper that I have to write by tomorrow, along with 2 tests to study for. I'm kind of in a crappy mood.

Gamon + Dace Dance

OMG! First, of all...

I took a theatre class my freshmen year at school and in the class we would get extra credit if we went to plays or saw speakers at school. On top of that, we had to go to at least 2 required plays. Due to this, I saw a lot of preformers + speakers at my school my freshmen year and I HATED it. I compared every play to my high school and plain and simple... my high school won. LOL! I feel bad for the theatre majors at my school. The auditorium is so small in comparison to my HS, it is crazy.

Since I watched so many plays/speakers my freshmen year and didn't like ANY, I never went to another play at EMU until today. It wasn't a play, and it wasn't a speaker... it was Japanese hip-hop dancing and ballet mixed with hip-hop and all I can say is... WOW!! It was AMAZING! My friend called me earlier today and I almost told him "no" because all the preformances I've went to at EMU were so lacking, but I didn't have any plans anyways so I went.

I found out later the preformers were from Tokyo/NY, so I guess that is why the dancing was so good! I am SO happy I went. The first part was the Gamon, which was Japanese hip-hop. It was kind of telling a story with ninjas and the dances were expressing the fighting. The second part was cool too, but it is much harder to explain. The second part was also telling a story, about this witch and like a crystal or something and a pheonix. I dunno how to describe it. LOL! It was really really really really really amazing though.

Okay, that's all. If some Japanese, Gamon dancing troupe comes to your school... WATCH THEM!!!

Sarah Rockorz

So, I was out on Monday with this kid named Chris from my university. We just hung out. He was alright, the day was okay, until... he wanted to go into the Safe Sex Store. That is where I met my new love, Sarah. She pretty much rockorz and we are so alike in so many ways. I love it. Anyways... it wasn't as random as you might be thinking. She goes to my college and knows someone that I slightly know through another friend.

Well, yesterday we hung out. To make a VERY LONG story short my day consisted of...

1. Getting my lip pierced.
2. My car getting keyed.
3. Going to Canada.
4. Eating Shawarma.
5. Walking in the cold.
6. Getting detained at the tunnel.
7. Going to an almost completely empty club on Joy road.
8. Getting lost.
9. Trying to find a bathroom, but every bathroom in the universe being out of order.
10. And finally... tripping and falling on the cement getting out of the See Us van.

Oh, and did I mention Sarah rockorz?

I Want Music!

Would anyone with a sharing program do me a huge favor? At our school, we can't really download music illegally because of the school's firewalls/security or whatever. I'd really appreciate it if someone download some songs (any) of Natasha St-Pier, the new Ayumi Hamasaki album (I really want the song Heaven), or My Way by the Japanese band Def Tech. I can find some music while I am at school, but my selection is limited. If anyone is interested in fulfilling this favor I have a lot of Japanese music to trade with ya for it.

I lost a lot when I switched to my Ipod, but here is some of what I have...

Ayumi Hamasaki
Bennie K
BoA (Korean)
Bonnie Pink
Crystal Kay
Do As Infinity
Koda Kumi
Kuraki Mai
Morning Musume
Namie Amuro
Orange Range
Otsuka Ai
Puffy
Se7en (Korean)
ShinHwa (Korean)
Singer Songer
Tommy February6
Utada Hikaru
W-inds
And a bunch of other random stuff.

E-mail me at Koneko@doramail.com if you want to help me out.
Will Work for Food.

My weekend was fun. School started last week and I've already wrote two of Sunshine's essays for her Linguistics class. Haha! In return she buys me yummy Korean food like Kimchi Chi Ge and Bibimbap, though.

On Sunday I hung out with RC. We went to the mall where he bought a few things at Hot Topic and then we went to his work and ate. His co-workers seemed really cool. When I get a job, I hope I have co-workers as cool as his. He is always pretty busy, which sucks, but I think we are hanging out again on Wednesday.

Today I went to Sunshine's house and wrote the second of the two essays. I got her a 3 out of 5 on the first one, which is my worst work ever for her. I feel bad, but she said the teacher told the class no one ever gets a 5. Bah! We went out to dinner at Sadako, a sushi bar, and then had some Bubble Tea while we played Photo Hunt. Her family called her, like they do everyday. I guess some relatives are coming to live in the USA cause they got a green card and a cousin is going to live in Sunshine's apartment with her and go to school. Her family loves me. Haha! I forget if I mentioned this already, but everytime they call they ask about me. Her family rockorz so far, but her Dad sounds REALLY terrible. I miss Sunshine's sister a lot, though! Henmuri is SOOOOOOOO cool! ^^

Okay, that's all. I'm just freaking procrastinating while I should be writing a paper for my cool Literature Teacher's class. Best. Teacher. Ever.

Bitches!

I spent like an hour writing that huge arse entry and no one commented on it. =(

Today I went out with RC to the mall and then to his work where we had some dinner together. His co-workers seemed really cool. Yesterday, I hung out with like all the coolest people! Sunshine, Cassandra, Nina, Krystal, and some others... it tons of fun. We went to a shitty club, but I still had fun because I was with them and then we went back to Sunshine's apartment and had some pizza. It was a fun night, but Cassandra left with my scarf!! I need to get it back from her.

School's going good so far. I have a LOT of Japanese students in my classes this semester. Both in Culture of Japan and my World Regions class. It isn't necessarily a good thing, but it definitely isn't bad because like half of them are probably cool.

My Renassiance Literature class is going really good. I have the same teacher I had for my English class last semester and she LOVES me. Last semester I had to write 3 papers for her English class and I wrote them all on queer theory because we could pick from a few different subjects and since I just came out in Sept. it seemed like the best choice. Well, in this Literature class we got on the subject of cross-dressing because in the plays of that time period guys always dressed up as women. Well, the teacher brought up this movie that was like about cross-dressing and how it affected the gay community and instead of asking the class as a whole if anyone had seen it... she turns to me in a class of about 40+ kids and goes, "Russell, have you seen it?" Haha! Nice way of being subtle about my sexuality there teach.... Haha! Not that it isn't obvious or anything, but still... haha! Ohhh geez I love my crazy hippie teacher. ^^

I know no one likes my Japanese music, but as most of you know who have driven with me they tend to use random English words or phrases in it sometimes. Well, I just downloaded this new song by Tommy February6 called "Choose me or Die" and at one point in the song the music gets really dark and serious and the lyrics are something like...

"If you don't say you love me, I'll kill you. Tell me you want to choose me or die." Then IMMEDIATELY following it the music gets happy again and she goes, "love you! Love you!" Haha! No one probably cares, but I thought it was funny. I was in tears laughing.

Okay, that's all. Someone please respond this time. Haha! Mata.

Ahh School...

Well, I'm finally back at school. Friends, my computer, necto and Ann Arbor are some nice benefits of being up here. After I returned from CA, I was actually kind of missing school this break.

California was amazing and so is Henmuri. So far Sunshine's family is like the coolest family ever! I've heard some bad things about her Dad though. Besides that they are great. Sunshine rocks, Henmuri rocks, and even their Mom is cool! Sunshine's Mom calls her like twice a day so whenever she calls and I am around I get to tell her some random Korean phrases I know. Actually, their family in Korea has heard stories about me and they call me something like "Janbo" which means "crying baby" because I cried and didn't want to leave Japan. Haha! Wow... I really miss Henmuri. She rocks. Seriously.

So... I don't know where to start... I'll seperate my trip by days and give you all the juicy details.

Day 1: The plane ride sucked cause we got a cheap flight by going way out of our way. Instead of a 4 hour trip it was more like 7 or 8. We were stuck at baggage claim for about a half hour too because Sunshine forgot what her suitcase looked like. Haha! Rachel ended up finding it and then we went to Rachel's house which was amazing. It wasn't super special, but it was in such a nice area. It was like in between Hollywood and Venice Beach or something.... haha! We went shopping at a place called the "promenade" which had tons of cool stores... oh and I forgot to mention the weather was perfect! I bought a Hoodie from Fred Segal which is really cool and has a zipper on the hood itself where I can like zip it in two. I dunno how to explain it, but it's sweet. That night we went to the gay club. I met a hot asian named Gary and made out with him for a while. Also, Henmuri came up that night with her roommate who was actually kind of annoying, the first thing he said was something like...

*points at me* "You're the gay guy right? You have better clothes than any of these girls, sing or act, and have a really clean room, but a messy car." *points at Hemuri and Sunshine* "and the asians have squeaky voices, can't drive, and can't hold alcohol."

Day 2: The next day we went to Venice Beach. It was cool, but really repetitive. There were a lot of like street vendors, random shops, beggers, and street performers. It all looked the same to me. If you are ever in the need of cheesy t-shirts, hemp necklaces, bongs, tattoos, or skateboards, then that is definitely the place to hit up, though. Haha! Later we dropped Henmuri and her roommate off because her roommate had a job to go to the next day and they needed to get home (her roommate was her ride up from San Diego). After that Sunshine, Rachel, and I headed out to Rodeo drive where everyone was rich. Haha! It was insane. We felt too awkward to enter any shops cause we were so out of place so we went to a cupcake shop nearby called "Sprinkle's Cupcakes," which surprisingly wasn't a whore house, but a legitimate cupcake business. Gary wanted to hang out that night and Rachel and Sunshine wanted some girl time so they dropped me off at a club which was jam packed and super fun. I made out with Gary and then his friends drove me back after a very interesting late night snack at IHOP.

Day 3: Hollywood (Sunshine's bf) hung out with us on our third day. We went to Melrose and shopped. I bought a cool jacket for $20 at a vintage shop and Sunshine bought some stuff too. I think after we went to Hollywood (the area) and looked around and shopped. I don't quite remember. I was tired and went to bed early that night.

Day 4: Henmuri took the train up on the fourth day which was great. We picked her up and went with her to Hollywood (the area) and ate at some American restaurant and shopped. I bought a hoodie which was cool and later we went to a club, but we had a hard time finding a good one and ended up going home that day.

Day 5: Boooooooooooooooo! Worst day ever! We drove to Las Vegas. I honestly am not one for Vegas. It is a big, but cheesy ass, looking town in the middle of the worst fucking state ever, but even worse......... We didn't go to Vegas that day. We went to Hollywood's parents' house which was out in some random small ass town in the worst state ever. Now... I am not a racist person. At all. Like seriously. I always tell people I'm only racist to my own race cause I hate dumb white hicks from America that can't accept differences, but I was feeling really uncomfortable in Hollywood's parents' house. The father was a very stern man with a very narrow mindset. The Mom was cool, but the father made me very very very uncomfortable and we basically spent the whole day there. I was basically ignored. There is a lot I want to say, but it is just too much to say in one sitting. The highlight of the day was sleep or the monopoly game which was ruined cause Hollywood got pissed and basically threw the game.

Day 6: It started off shitty. Like I said, I hate Vegas, but I wanted the hell out of that house and everyone was moving slow. We got to Vegas at like 5 pm and the house is only like 1 hour from Vegas. In Vegas we did no shopping and saw no shows, the only things I slightly wanted to do. We immediately went to gamble. Sunshine won a lot at first, but ended up losing a lot later, but still coming out on top. Hollywood won a ton. He went to the poker room and played until 4 am. Which left Henmuri and I trying to find something to do. Henmuri lost all her money and I lost enough where I wanted to quit so we walked around and went to random places while Sunshine and Hollywood gambled. Again a lot happened that I don't really want to type right now, but basically the night ended getting home at 5 am and Henmuri drew me some dirty porno as my x-mas present at Denny's.

Day 7: Back to LA! Yay! We got there really late cause we left so late. We stayed the night at Sunshine's friend Yoshi's apartment because Rachel was out of town. We went to the gay club again that night cause her friend's apartment was so close to the gay district. I got kind of drunk. For once. I forget who I told this too and who I didn't, but I ended up getting some lemonade and the bartender thought I wanted alcoholic lemonade and I ended up spending $14 on it and I was still thirsty and pissed so I just drank it, but then I had some other peoples' drinks too. Haha! I ended up meeting some guy named Kody who kind of has a 70's shag hairstyle and he had black hair so that was hot. Like I said... I was drunk... he was wasted too I think and wanted to have sex and we liked walked around trying to find a place where we could get some privacy, but the best we found was like behind some trees and it was really close to the road. We kinda started going at it, but then like 3 cars passed and one parked and we stopped and just made out a lot, which was definitely for the best.

The next day I came back to Michigan. It was interesting.

Also, I had a very interesting New Year's Eve. It was really unexpected.

Everytime I post I feel like I'm saying I found a new guy... well, I did again. I was at Necto and met a Korean guy. He's a little older than me, but he is really nice, down to earth, and cute. I went out with him earlier today and had a fun time. We went to eat at this gay bar/restaurant in Ann Arbor where he has tons of friends, then I took him to Bubble Island and introduced him to Bubble tea. Some people were kinda staring at us there which I didn't expect at all from such a liberal campus, so we left and he took me to Pinball Pete's where we beat some Jarassic Park shooting game. He drove me home, we made out, and that was basically my day.

So... that's been my life in a nutshell since break. I'm happy to be at campus with my friends again. I think tomorrow I'm going out to dinner with Sunshine and Nina and then seeing Brokeback Mountain with them. The next day I think I going out with R.C (the Korean guy) and hanging out and then hopefully I'll hang out with Kellie soon too ^^ Yay!!

Well, that's all.
I Think Everyone Knows, But...

I'm going to California from Dec. 21th - 28th! I'm going to LA with Sunshine and we are gonna hang out with Rachel (a friend from Japan) and Sunshine's sister Henmuri. I think also we are going to either Las Vegas or San Diego for like two or three days. We are gonna have a lot of fun! Once I get back I'll be totally free. I won't be online cause my parents still don't have a computer at their house, but call me anytime after or even on the 28th. I need things to do in boring C-Town!! Okay, that's all.

Oh and just incase anyone is wondering, I'm doing good. I just turned in my paper for English today. I am sure I will get an 'A' in that class. The teacher loved me. I'm done with school now, but I'm going to stay up here and spend the night at Sunshine's apartment tomorrow so we can go to the airport together. Besides that, there has been some interesting things going on in my life, but I'll discuss that on a 1 on 1 basis. This was definitely my best year ever. I'm gonna miss 2005 and all the fun I had in it. I can't even begin to describe everything that happened this year. It is like a novel. Haha!

So, soon I'm off to California. A land of shopping, ethnic food, friends, shopping, shows, shopping, warm weather and hot asian guys I'm destined to make-out with.

Rent was amazing! If you haven't seen it yet then you should. I'll still see it with people. I would go again easily.

"Would you light my candle?"

Oh, I cried 3 times, almost 4. That is the only bad thing. I hate being depressed.
Rent?

Am I like the only person who wants to see the movie? I also need someone to go with me to Harry Potter, but I'm sure a lot more people would be up for that. Haha!

In other news, Kellie had Korean with Sunshine, Nina, Sunshine's friend, and I yesterday. It was really yummy and I had raw beef for the first time. Yummm!!!

I went to bed at 9 pm last night and woke up at like 2 am. I don't think I'll be going back to sleep. Le sigh...
